Founded on 5 July by Ben Francis, then 19, and Lewis Morgan, from a garage in Birmingham, UK.
- 2019
The Lifting Club, a gym and innovation hub, opens at the Solihull HQ site.
- 2020
General Atlantic buys a 21% stake for £275m, valuing Gymshark above £1bn. Lockdown fund for personal trainers raises over £180,000.
- 2022
Regent Street flagship opens in October: 18,000 sq ft over two floors, convertible to gym space in 15 minutes.
- 2024
"We Do Gym" launches, planting the flag on weightlifting authority.
- 2025
The message widens to everything inside the four walls of the gym. Revenue £647m (+6.5%) in the year to July.
